NEW YEAR (AND BEYOND)

 All together now..."It's the most miserable time of the year. It's the crap...crappiest feeling..."etc.etc.

As you can probably work out from the above - I'm not the biggest fan of New Year.

Christmas is over. Everyone's back at work and January in all its bleak gloom seems to stretch on into infinity. At it's absolute very VERY best - it's just a continuation of the same old everyday crap you have to put up with all year round I.e. - a MASSIVE ANTICLIMAX. At it's worst it's a hotbed of failed resolutions, false fresh starts and new uncertainties. Yeah - I'm not a fan.

However - all is not lost. In the interests of staving off the January blues I'm going to be keeping things festive here in the backroom for a little while. Really that's just my way of saying that there's a couple of Christmas themed reviews that I've yet to finish, so I'll stick 'em on here when they're done. In other words - it's time to eat some Christmas leftovers - just be careful that those Turkey bones don't get stuck in your throat.

After that...well the skies the limit. We're heading towards the blog's second birthday at a rate of knots so I'm going to be opening things up beyond the usual horror and Sci-Fi reviews. So expect some more exploitation and grindhouse stuff being sprinkled into the mix.

Christmas may be over but the Backroom stays open for business - happy new year.
