ITS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR...

Well not just yet...but its getting closer by the day.

Yes - it's (more or less) that time of the year again. The month of September is only a few days away which means that the run up to Halloween is about to start.

Before I go any further, yes I know its not ACTUALLY Halloween until October the 31st but lots of people now celebrate Halloween for more than just one measly day - usually they consider the entire month of October to be Halloween. Y'see Halloween is now not a day but a season (like Christmas) and to some other people (me being one of them) that season also includes September as well.

What this is a roundabout way of saying is that from today onwards Tales From The Backroom is switching over into full-on horror mode (lets face it, it pretty much is in horror mode about 80 percent of the time anyway).

As you can see I've put the Halloween decorations up and it's all good to go.

Around this time last year I made a rash promise that I would be posting a review a day over the entire season. I'm not going to say that this time. I didn't stick to it back then and I know I certainly won't stick to it this time either.

I know the blog has been a bit quieter than usual over the past few months. The reasons for this have been many and varied - some good, some not so good BUT one thing I can definitely promise is that the amount of content will be going up noticeably, after all spooky season is my favourite time of the year so what better way to celebrate than by watching a shitload of horror movies ? So expect horror movie reviews (both classic and obscure) and several other surprises along the way.

Stay tuned and keep reading as the nights draw in and the ghouls come out to play. Happy (sort of) Halloween !!!!!

  1. Definitely enjoy the season as a whole with Halloween as the culmination. Too much fun to leave for just one day.

    1. After all we get Christmas decorations appear for sale in shops in August, so why not kick-start Halloween a month early ?
