For my second post this fine Halloween it's time once more to enter the Vault and dig up another morbid masterpiece from the crumbling pages of vintage pre-code horror comics.
Considering how popular Halloween is (especially in the US where these books where published), there are surprisingly few stories that are actually set on or around the best season of the year.
Perseverance paid off though and so here I present a tale called Out Of The Black Night culled from the pages of Web Of Mystery # 20 (originally printed in September 1953). It's the tale of a vampire's rampage through a small American town and has a perfect seasonal twist.

They seemed to go for the ''it was a vampire all along'' trope in quite a lot of those old comics, but this was the first time I've seen them add a further twist on top. Hope you had a good Halloween.
